Re: Golf Movies-Favorites "The price is WRONG B*t*h...!!!!" That scene with Bob Barker is just SOOOOOOOOOO funny...... (and I've never seen the US version, though we did have a locally produced version here for a while...) LOVE Happy Gilmore, so many subtle references.... And some "not so" subtle... But, thats Adam Sandler for you... It is a classic. Cheers ![]()

Re: Golf Movies-Favorites I am old school so I would have to go with "Follow The Sun" with Glen Ford playing the part of Ben Hogan. I am a Hogan fan, and not Ford. I will also agree that when compared with the new movies on golf, that "Follow The Sun" is pretty bland in comparison. I saw Hogan playing his way back after his car wreck. That part of the movie is quite accurate. As for the newer movies, I am partial to "Tin Cup" and the simple humor involved. I think Gary McCord had alot to do with the part of the movie where "Cup" hitting out of a bunker with a shovel. Happy Gilmore is also a good one since Sandler's character reminds me of one of my great grandsons. GJS

Re: Golf Movies-Favorites Probably have to go with Happy Gilmore. My favorite line in the movie was, and this may not be quite the exact words, "If I dressed like that, I'd have to kick my own ass". I can't remember the title, but I recently watched a Movie on HBO about Bobby Jones that wasn't bad. Tin Cup also a favorite.

Re: Golf Movies-Favorites And my favorite all time quote from Tin Cup; "Golf and sex are two things you can enjoy even if you're not good at them." Another great moment between Roy (Costner) and Romeo (Cheech); Roy McAvoy: This is everything, ain't it? This is the choice it comes down to - this is our immortality Romeo: You don't need to be thinking immortality - you need to be thinking hit the 7 iron! And then later; Romeo: Now THAT was a defining moment. And the definition was SH1T! Classic! Last edited by BuckShot; 03-08-2007 at 03:24 PM.
