Best Round of my life.

Today was a day to remember for me.

I have been hitting the ball solidly for quite a while, and knew there was a special round in there somewhere. Well, today it happened. Club easter hamper comp and I had the near perfect round. I turned with 24 stableford points, and got that butterfly feeling. Then, I birdied the tenth and knew it was time to concentrate like never before. Collected another 20 points on the back nine, and this included a scratch! This is not a boast, merely an outpouring of excitement and the feeling of achieving what all the practice was for.

Re: Best Round of my life.

Rock on brother. Sounds like a great round even though I have no idea what stableford points are. Keep the trend going down.

Re: Best Round of my life.

Really great to hear,
Iam in the same as far as my game is starting to all come together and I hope that really great round is not to far away,
played 9 yesterday 3 birdies, 2bogeys ,1double bogey,3 pars. Keep the bogeys of and who knows.

switched from my odessey two ball to yes putter, seems to be helping

This is why golf is without doubt the best game on the planet.
The eventual winner of the Masters will second that.

Re: Best Round of my life.

Guys, thanks for your kind comments. Answer me this. After finishing second to a 46. I am told I am disqualified because my handicap was not written on the score card. A bit severe dont you think. I will probable have to accept being cut but at a high price.

Congrats on the great round. I also think that the DQ is pretty severe. It's not like they do not have the handicap in the clubhouse to verify, and you kept track of the points based on the handicap properly. Ouch. But if it is a rule they always enforce, I guess it is what it is.

Re: Best Round of my life.

Great Round Robert...

44 points is good golf in anyone's language...

In as far as the DQ goes, yes, at my old club, I have seen more than one guy DQ'd because they didn't fill out their score card correctly and to the best of my knowledge your playing H/Cap is one of the mandatory things that has to go on there, besides your name and the date...

For me, the positive is that they will still adjust your handicap...

Good job....

Cheers
