I think I did a bad thing....

On Monday I had 4 instances of balls flying towards, near and over me without a single cry of FORE.

On the last occasion the ball landed with some considerable force in the greenside bunker a yard away from where I was about to play a chip.

Now clearly, from where he started looking, the other player - who was playing a different hole - thought the ball had flown passed me.

"Be mature" my good angel told me "let him know where the ball is"; "Nuts to that" said my bad angel looking over my other shoulder "Pick it up yourself, putt out and walk away, it might not teach him a lesson but it will make you feel better".

And you know what? It did.

But I'm sure I shouldn't have done it.

Don't you wish you had a child's beach bucket with you so you could build sand castles on either side of the guy's ball in the bunker? That way the guy knows he got too close and you did something to let him know. And he can't knock them down without penalty.

You probably would have hit your best shot ever and hit him! Check your insurance policy

Each to their own. I probably would have stood on it and drove it into the ground.

Robin, I don't think you've done anything wrong by golf but I'd reckon it could be theft. Slats, be careful, you would have incurred a penalty for hitting the wrong ball my friend.

I have even got a better one I would off lay down next to the ball and when the guy came over act all dazed then asked for compensation from his golf insurance. If he didn't have it then take him small claims court at least you would have got a few quid out of it for new golf gear lol (God this is evil)

Cheers
Mark
