Hook or slice?

My drive goes straight and then turns left...or my drive will go left of target and hook further left.
My Drive does not go right of target and then hook left.

From this I presume I dont swing from in to out but across the ball with a closed club face.
So essentially i'm still swinging as a slicer?.
(ok I'm almost 100% confused now..).

So just because the ball veers off to the left doesnt mean I have to use a Hook-fix?.
Arghhhh...I suffering cabin-fever here ..I need to hit some shots soon.
When I was younger I always faded the ball and played ok..so I believe I still swing pretty much the same now..but no sign of that fade I could talk to.
I actually dreamed last night about golf for the first time in years...and it was about my pseudo-hook..
Brian le tormented one.

One more old saying PLAY WITH WHAT YOU BRUNG....

Meaning if you slice at the start of day then adjust your aim and hit the slice the same way, try not to change to many things while playing a comp.

Regarding your pull/draw/hook.

Simple remedy. While you are set up to hit the shot keep your stance and body position and hold the club along the shaft.

You may see that your alignment is set to the open or closed, make the adjustment and maybe move the ball back a tad.

Try that out ok... Alignment is the pillar of your swing...
