Re: where is everybody?

Still here Slats. I've just been licking my wounds quietly after last week's round.

A complete and absolute mare from the first (snap hook into bushes) to the last. Couldn't drive, putt, chip - it was like the last 6 months of steady improvement hadn't happened.

Re: where is everybody?

Slats ... Look out the window

We're out on the courses hacking away at all the things we've been discussing over winter.

The last 2 weeks in Denmark has been more summer-like than most summers are over here, so I've been sleeping on the first tee, ready to tee off come first sunlight.

Which reminds me ... I have to dash - tee time coming up

Re: where is everybody?

I'm in Bangkok. It's starting to rain during this time of the year so the golf shops and stores has begun their special promotion price. So I went shopping, getting a new club, testing it at the golf course in the morning, practicing at the driving range in the evening and stopping for the net just once in while.
We've never seen snow in Thailand and the rain is OK with golf provided that the round has been begun before it starts and no thunder storm. Hence, I can play golf nearly every week.

Re: where is everybody?

Yo Da Slats...

It has been quiet in here, (mental note to self: check definition of "virtual quietness") I simply made an assumption that as we are moving into our winter season down here, that the top half of the planet was moving in to their summer seasons and that more of you were playing more and talking less...

Its all good...

Cheers

Re: where is everybody?

Good Job Pedro.......

Seems you'll be the "dodgy bandit" in the field in the upcoming GTO Open...

Good luck in that.

Looking fwd to hearing about your first Medal Win
(first of many it seems, at least until the 'Capper catches up with you!! )

Cheers

LOL. I do what I can. The range is an hour away - and it's not even lit!

I was thoroughly disgusted yesterday after I only hit 5 good balls - all short pitches. By 5 good balls, I mean they were compressed properly and I didn't flip my hands.

So I had to head out into the back 40 to chip and pitch some balls... then it got dark, and I wasn't happy with my progress. So out came the two 1000w halogen towers, and I continued my practice.
