Re: Maxfli Noodle Ice

Bizarrely, it was see-through

The squareness and transparency would also explain why the first time I hit it I lost it

Re: Maxfli Noodle Ice

Bulldog,

I haven't seen one of those but I tried some Pinnacle CLR balls when in the USA. They also have a transparent outer cover that looks a bit different but had a nice soft feel to them and seemed fairly scuff proof.

Re: Maxfli Noodle Ice

But not how you found it

Seriously though I've used Noodles in the past (though not the ice) - the one I used had excellent distance but you'd have to be a far better golfer than me to get the thing to hold the green especially in dry weather.

Re: Maxfli Noodle Ice

The Ice is the answer to the Volvik Crystal ball. It's a low compression medium spin ball.

Re: Maxfli Noodle Ice

I've played a sleeve or two and find them absolutely excellent.

But I agree that they look weird.

Re: Maxfli Noodle Ice

Apparently you can also get them in green. Who in their right mind would make a green golf ball?!

Anyway, think I'll get some, try 'em, and hope thgey last longer than the last one.

Cheers all
