Heads falling off

I recently bought a new set of irons (ADAMS tight lies) . During normal play, the heads on two of the irons came off (broke off at the hosel). What is causing this? this has never happened to me before? could it be a bad set of shafts?

Re: Heads falling off

If the shafts are metal, they are hollow and light in weight. If you are hitting down with the irons onto hard surfaces like dry ground, tight lies(no pun intended) or if you hit a few rocks below the surface, the head will snap off.
Have the fitter check the shafts for you.

Sure, could be rust in the shaft and metal fatigue. Adams should take care of you.
