Unhappy mental blockage

i'm a lefty, but my problem must be for all golfers, male, female, left and right handers and that is the mental approach to the game.
i play off 14 but i still have the mental blocks where i cannot do the same shot twice and it gets very frustrating, some times i feel like throwing everything into the nearest pond and i get so dispondant and negative.can any golfer with techniques to get over these problems let me know as it will hopefully bring the passion back into me game:

try this

I would start by developing a pre-shot routine. There's plenty of info. on this site and sites like this one for you to read up on.
Secondly, practicing tempo and balance are just as important, if not more so, than most of the mechanical swing drills out there. I like to think of swingly smoothly or swinging nice and easy. I hate the word slow. You want the club to go fast. And that's exactly what will happen when you swing smoothly.
Try reading up on and developing a consistent pre-shot routine and getting a tempo that would make ernie proud and most of the mechanics will take care of themselves.

Billy,

I agree with Jim on this one. 80% of the golf shot is before you move the club on the takeaway. It starts on the range, if you go out and beat balls and not practice your preshot routine, you will carry it to the course with you like bad luggage. I can send you a photo lesson in exchange for stats on your swing to help with the preshot routine (just pm me a regular email address). But practicing it will get you more consistant.
The frustation part you were talking about, I recommend Dr. Mike Rottella's book, Golf is not a game of perfect. It might light the fire again for golf. Never get angry at the game only your practice habits!!! It's only dirt, grass and a well placed hole. None of those things ever killed anyone.
