| Don,
Water half empty or half full, the saying is true in golf also. When you see it you can't take a half empty swing or it will hit the water. Take your full shot, and an extra club length if neccesary. Concentrate on your target only. Look only at the target and the water will disappear in your mind. If you look at the target, that is where you will hit it. Your subconsious will think the water is your target.
I tell myself something like this, This is a 150 yard shot, I hit 8 iron exactly 150 yards. I want to hit a little to the left of the pin it should turn in slightly. Grip/Posture/Stance/Swing. No thought of the water only the target. The water doesn't exist in my golf world because I choose not to hit it in there.
Does it happen? Occasionaly on a course I don't know. But my usual courses, almost never.
Just food for thought!!!!
