Jan Stephenson

What do you think of Jan Stephenson regarding her lack of diplomacy and outright stupid remarks made while she was playing in the Champion's tour event in Hawaii this weekend?
Not only does she bogart her way into a tournament she was not qualified to compete in but while there she makes remarks about foreign players on the LPGA that can only be termed stupid and without any regard for professionalism.
I have no problem with women competing with men if they are qualified but when they use the good graces of being in the public eye for their own gain, that's where I draw the line.
Even in her hayday, she was only a somewhat pretty face.

I know this is kind of late re: Jan Stephenson's comments. I just wanted to correct one error in your post. Jan did not give an interview disparaging the Asian players while at the tournament. It was a report in USA today from an article that is in this month's Golf Magazine. I got the magazine and read the article and I agree that her comments on Asian players as well as the LPGA tour in general were stupid and unprofessional.

I think Jan has considered herself the bad girl of the LPGA tour a la Ken Green of the PGA.

Too bad. She had potential in her heyday but blew it.
