golf courses in Manchester

Can anyone recommend a good course which won't be too expensive and will allow me to play on at Saturday in the Manchester area.

hi daviesec
if you want a real challenge try heaton park its full of blind holes and uneven lies but every hole is different and it drains well so its very playable in winter.

Whitefield Golf Club welcomes visitors on Saturdays. (They play their comps on Sundays). :: WhitefieldGolfClub.com ::

It's in great condition right now too (October 12). No offence to Heaton Park but the difference between the two is massive!

Whitefield GC is about 600 yards from J17 of the M60.

Enjoy

Re: golf courses in Manchester

I'm not sure about the green fee on a Saturday. Probably £25 I'd guess but it is part of the 2 for 1 scheme (not sure how that works mind you).

Call the office on 0161 351 2700 and they'll tell you!

For a 4 handicap golfer especially, there isn't really any comparison between Heaton Park and Whitefield.

Cheers
