3 iron/7 wood or driving iron

I've recently lost the head off my 3 iron (serves me right for buying cheap clubs :-} ) and am not sure what to buy as a replacement, I've started playing golf this year and thanks to a momentus golf trainer I've starting to finally get some distance on my shots, until recently no matter what Iron I used it went 150 Yards.

I use my 5 wood a lot from the fairway and hit it about 150 yards but I can't get away with it unless the ball has a really good lie

so the million dollar question should I just replace my 3 iron, should I buy a 7 wood or should I get one of these new driving irons which if you belive the hype can be used from all lies
