| clubs to practice with Greg I read your reply about the basics and the difference between wood s and irons. As a beginner should i just take the 3w 5w 5I 7I pw and putter(don't have a sw yet) to the range first and leave the others alone or should i practice with the whole set. Will using these help with using the longer clubs. John |

| Yes. As a beginner, practice with only these. Start with the 7i. When that is consistant, work on the 5w. Then branch from there: 9i, 5i, 3w. Using these first, will definatly help with the longer clubs when you start to incorporate them into your bag. You will know it is time to add clubs when you get mad that you should have used a 6i when your 5i went over the green. |
