Question Bronty putter any good ?

About a year ago I was given a set of clubs which were in very poor condition. The only thing worth keeping was the putter which I threw into the kids bag. I was using a fairly light wilson mallet type putter at the time and struggling with it. I decided to give this old Bronty a go. I found after a good clean that it was cast brass which was then crome plated. The face is dead smooth and has a open slot behind it which acts as a sort of cushion. Being very heavy it suits my pendulum type of swing.

The putter is a Bronty Rustler and is made in Scotland.

Does anybody know or have heard of these and are they any good, I have no reason to change now as I have not found anything more comfortable to use.

Re: Bronty putter any good ?

Putters are a lot like women. You hate them one minute and love them the next. When it comes to getting one that you can stick with...that takes a lifetime. Idealistically, a putter needs to conform to you and you not to it. So, be stouburn in your choices. Setup where you eyes are directly above the ball and the shoulders tilt back and through where your arms are straight vertical. If a putter can fit that mold, you have the first part taken care of. Now, get the head to your liking...then you get to play with the rest of your natural golf life with all the different types they can through at you...just find one and stick to it as long as you are making the 8 footers.
