I'd like to know if there is a rule of thumb regarding lengths of your irons. If there is no professional to help you out then you are left at guessing your right lengths. I've tried two different sets of iron clubs, one set 1.5 to 2.0 inches longer per club than the other. They both give different results and consistencies. I'm 5'10" in height and weigh 92kg and 53 years old. Appreciate any insight into this.

Re: Length of iron clubs Now days it is very difficult to give a standard length of shaft as all the manufacturers shaft lengths seem to differ slightly. Saying that, there is still standard recommendations that we can go by and they all seem to be relatively close to these. I have included these mens standard shaft lengths in the chart below. If you are wanting to know the length of Ladies standard shaft lengths simply minus 1" off each of the mens lenghts. Hope this helps ![]()

Re: Length of iron clubs At 5'10" you should be the corrrect height for standard length clubs. For a better measurement, go to Ping web fit - this site will tell you, based on your measurements you give them, what the lie, length of shaft, shaft flex and size of grip that would suit your height, arm length, hand size and distance you hit your current clubs.
