Re: I just bought a set of used Callaway X-14's; I find a lot of pros (teaching) tell you to stay away from Callaway (as an advanced player) as they are mostly game improvement clubs. Personally I have never met a callaway I did not like x-14 included if I had to find a complaint I would say they go to straight and consisitent. A lot of people think once they reach a certain level in the game they need to play blades or something to prove how good a ball striker they are. I say why not take a bigger sweet spot and more consistency it can't hurt. Most of those a-pro's who say this **** can't break 80 I find. DBD

Re: I just bought a set of used Callaway X-14's; X-14's are the best of the bunch, they are the best combo of decent looks and great performance. The only Callaway product I would play myself (and I hate investment cast cavity backs with a passion so that should tell you how good they are). Enjoy Al, you wont regret it.

Re: I just bought a set of used Callaway X-14's; Wow, I just got my X-14's in the mail today; boy they sure are in great shape for a set of used clubs, and I got them at a really great price. Now all I need is some good weather so I can go out and test-drive these babies. hhhhmmm, now is that a Callaway cart bag I see on Ebay?????? ![]() Ok ok, so I'm hooked.

Re: I just bought a set of used Callaway X-14's; ^ GOLF HO ALERT! GOLF HO ALERT! Time for an intervention, Al. Say it with me - I don't always need OEM... I don't always need OEM... (He said as he snuck off to look at Nike Slingshots) Enjoy your new clubs

Re: I just bought a set of used Callaway X-14's; A few years back I bought a set of brand new X-14's graphites and loved them. As I improved over the year and began swinging faster, I switched over to the X-14 steels. I gave the graphites to my dad. We both enjoy them. They're great. I can't really compare with anything else as they're my first set of clubs. However, I did enjoy testing out the titanium hawkeyes. They spark when the clubhead strikes the ground.
