Wilson clubs question hi i have only been playing golf for about 2 or so months. I have Wilson gear effect 3d clubs, for about 200 bux. Are they good for me or would getting more expensive clubs now improve my game dramatically. thanks, sikwitit_23@hotmail.com

Re: Wilson clubs question Keep the clubs for now, and go spend money on lessons. Then, reevaluate your gear and adjust as required.

Re: Wilson clubs question well i have taken lessons, i dont have much range or consistency but i have great accuracy with my sw, pw, 9, 8, 7 irons. When i switch to a wood i mess up. but if one day i am just practicing with my woods i hit well, i dont know how to improve my consistency any help, sikwitit_23@hotmail.com

Re: Wilson clubs question Tell us about your lessons, drills, etc. How often do you practice? Did your coach mention anything about your gear? What's the square root of pi? (Sorry, just screwing around). Seriously, practicing the drills you (should have) got will be the best way to improve right now. If you've already taken lessons, your grip should have been addressed. That said, grip is a personal choice - I prefer the original Vardon Overlap, but there are plenty of people who like to interlock, and I've read recently at the Leslie King website that even a 10 finger grip should work just fine (the logic being that if you can get your hands into that position at address, you can get them back there at impact). If you're having trouble consistently striking the ball, you need to check a few things: When you miss, how do you miss? Before the ball, after the ball, completely whiff? These things will indicate potential problems.

Re: Wilson clubs question thanks these are great replies, my instructor tought me alot (backswing, downswing etc..) All he said about my clubs was, those are a nice set you have there. he did not really show me any drills. But i tried to build a inside swing approach, i had everything except for the y joint and my 90 degree pvc was a lil to big, im still working on that. but what was the grip site you mentioned. Sry being new to this site i have so many unanswered questions so excuse them thanks, sikwitit_23@hotmail.com
