| Callaway x-18 I used to own a set of x-12 but traded them in for a new set of x_18s pro series while I was awaiting deliver I had a loan of x-16's. now I have the x-18's I find that I am not hitting any of them as far as either the x-12 or x-16. they all seem to be coming up short can anyone come up with an explanation. Should the ball be swept off the turf or should it be hit down on . I cant figure this out. maybe the pro will take the x-18's back for the x-16's |

| Re: Callaway x-18 I like Gord962 idea about the shafts the x-16's had rifle shafts (not sure about the figure but I will check it out and get back) and the x-18's have Dynamic Gold S-300 shafts which of these would be the stiffer shaft? I would have thought the rifle shafts were the stiffer. I agree that they are more accurate but still coming up short |

| Re: Callaway x-18 Hugoboss, Did you get these clubs fitted? you have S300 gold shafts, these are for swing speeds in excess of 100mph, unless you swing at that speed then the shafts will be wrong for you.(to stiff with no flex) I use the X16s and I have also tried the X18s both are great clubs, there will be nothing wrong with the actual clubs like Gord says it will be the shafts costing you distance. Rifle shafts come in Regular and stiff. I suggest you take them back to the "Pro" who advised you to buy these clubs and ask him to check your fitting requirements especially swing speed, also lofts and lie of the clubs. Take note that a Pro cannot ajust lofts and lies at the shop the have to come from the manufactures pre ordered due to the hosel design. Good Luck Ian.
