Hi,

Harold Bird and Son are based in Walsall, West Midlands. My husband's uncle has retired not so long ago after 40 years of service with them. I too have a ladies set of the first cavity backed irons (which were my sister in laws). I have only just starting playing or should I say learning? Max Faulkner died earlier this year aged 88. He was one of only six British golfers to win the Open after WW2 and was appointed OBE in 2003. Hopefully you have kept them?
