Mizuno Drivers

When will Mizuno come out with a driver in the MP series to replace the MP-001, which is getting quite old now.

Re: Mizuno Drivers

I don't know, but I think they are better than TaylorMade who bring out new designs left, right and centre.

Re: Mizuno Drivers

When the MP-001 can't keep up with the current drivers, Mizuno will bring out another to lead the pack. (What does that tell you about current drivers?)

Re: Mizuno Drivers

Some of the problem is that all of the drivers on the market are right at the COR (830)allowed and have been for several years. They also are right at the max size allowed (460), so unless your going to adjustable weights or changing the center of gravity of the driver there is not a lot a company can do, and unlike Taylor Made or Callaway who seem to have to come out with a new driver every other year (for sales more then anything else) Mizuno seems to have a good product and is not tinkering with it.

Re: Mizuno Drivers

Um ... guys! Ever heard of the internet and a website called mizuno.com??

The new range of Mizuno irons and woods has been out about 2 months already ... I'm not a Mizuno staff member, so I don't have anything but the fitting kit but the new:

1. MP60 irons MP's are stunning. Blades with a half cavity like the MP32's.
2. the MX driver is also pretty cool if you like Mizuno shape and styling.

Go to the website and check them out.

Re: Mizuno Drivers

The MX driver looks great, but the question we all have is when another MP driver will come out. They may have a winner though.....

Re: Mizuno Drivers

Mizuno base most of their R&D efforts on new irons so dont release drivers/utility clubs/wedges etc etc as often as the rest. The new driver looks good but it would have to be something special to replace my MP-001.

Those new MP-60's sure look good though........

D.

Re: Mizuno Drivers

Has anyone seen the MX-500, does it set up square or closed, its hard to tell from the images online and short of emailing them I can't find any technical data regarding this.
