| The Perfect Storm I'm looking for your advice on matching my new driver to a ball. I just bought a TaylorMade 580, 10.5*, graphite shafted, regular flex, driver to replace my TaylorMade 360 TI (with the same specs). I've hit the new club using a demo and it has a significantly different feel at impact. In fact, to me it has less feel than the TM 360 TI. This got me to thinking that there might be a ball/club combination that would give optimum feel with 580. If you have a favorite ball to use with this club - one that you think is heads and shoulders above the rest - or have a friend who swears by one, please share your secret to the perfect storm. Jim |

| Re: The Perfect Storm Well, my driver SS is ~ 108 MPH, and I absolutely love the MaxFli Revolution Tour. They're on sale everywhere (as MaxFli is discontinuing them, apparently). For me, they hold greens as well as an 'A' grade ProV1, and give me just as much distance. The other ball I've come to love playing is the Srixon Soft Feel. Holds greens well (not quite as well as the Rev Tour) but performs better than the Rev Tour when it gets colder - it's actually an excellent winter ball, and holds its own in the summer. |
