| New Driver - What shaft?? I am upgrading my driver to the new R7 425 with the Re-Ax shaft and was looking for some advice. I had been using a Ping G2 with a regular Aldila NV shaft which I hit pretty well, carrying about 260-270. The NV seemed to suit me quite well as swinging at a reasonable speed sent the ball down the middle and if I got too quick I hit a hook. This helped me to control my speed and slow down my tempo. Does anyone know if the regular Re-Ax shaft would be of similar flex to the regular NV? I had a stiff shaft in an R580 XD a few years ago which I had problems with. Hitting weak pushes and fades and I would hate to make the wrong choice and go down that road again. |
