Problems Removing Soft Fast Twist Spikes From Shoes

I have found a few off my soft spikes to be damaged so I decided to remove them. What a bad decission this was and I wonder if anyone else has these problems

The spikes which I am refering to are on the adidas AD75 shoe the so called fast twist fitting. These are near impossible for me to remove even with the spike tool which was supplied with the shoes. I was under the impression that these spikes should be quick to remove but there not

I can remove the conventional screw ones within seconds, where as it can take several minutes and sore fingers n thumbs with the adidas fast twist ones.

Does any one have this problem as well and how they overcome it or is there a secret special method?

Cheers
Mark

My friend, you're in dire need of needle nose pliers.

I've got fast-twist sandals and Qfit shoes. I've got a cleat wrench (only useful for installing, IMO). I use needle nose pliers to remove. I just grab the spike and twist - ignore the holes.

Amen.

I carry a Leatherman tool in my golf bag. Does the trick with no fuss.
