Callaway 2006 Big Bertha irons

Over the past few months, I have been searching for the perfect irons. Being is that I am not a very good iron player to begin with (18hc), I was looking for something that will help my game in the short-term but also something I can grow/improve with. Granted, during my search I was fighting some swing demons as well, however, I do believe that the right equipment is very important.
I started with the Taylor Made R7 XDs. Following 5 blow-up rounds (including fighting the sh@#** at one point), I traded them in. I then went to Mizuno's MX23, great club but they just weren't for me (perhaps the forged look).
I just picked up Callaway's 2006 Big Bertha irons. Although I understand that these are supposed to be strictly beginner or game-improvement clubs,I was desperate and I didn't care. However you want to categorize them, I love 'em, bringing the fun back into my game! Never hit the ball so pure.
Finally, please do not take this post as a cheap plug for Callaway golf (no affiliation whatsoever). My point is - I have finally left my ego behind and submitted to the fact that I need all of the help I can get when it comes to this game. Highly recommended to my fellow hackers.
