The only reason I made that snipe to him, was because he perfered personal attacks to a valid position. Looking at Phils profile he had snake eyes 600c at the top which are blades, then McGregory DX3 listed now, which are cavity backs, so I must assume even he doesn't buy his argument, could it be he wanted a more forgiving club.
My profile is old and well out dated as it never occurred to me to change it. I had DX3's when I started and then upgraded to the Snake Eyes after I got into it more.

I have been playing for just over a year now and my handicap is now 17. I have updated my profile just for you Navy boy. If your not dead by the time I have been playing for over 25 years then I will let you know my handicap then.

Thumbs up Re: Blades vs Cavity Backs

You only live once! Get y'self some Mizuno 'grain flow forged' irons. I used cavity back, cast clubs and still hit ****py shots. So i treated myself to the best clubs i could afford and although i still hit some dodgy shots, when i do hit a good 'en it really flies and it feels fantastic. I'd suggest MP32s 'cos they look beautiful as well as being grat to hit

Re: Blades vs Cavity Backs

I'm here to offer a potential apology. I was presented a few opportunities to try and work the ball with my 600XC's my last couple times out. All I did was hit the ball straight. Dead straight. Even using the 'easy' clubface at target, feet lined up at 'start point' method. My next range trip will be all about trying to bend the ball... but if it doesn't work, I'll offer a full blown retraction.
