Recommended beginner irons in $300 range Right now I have a set of Spalding Eagles I got from my uncle, but they're pretty worn out; the clubheads are all rusting, and there's no more life left in the grips. Besides, I'm missing the 7 iron, and don't have any wedges. So, I'm looking for a new set of irons, 3 or 4-PW. I want cavity back clubs, and want something that is similar to the clubs I have right now, because I actually kinda like them. Only problem is I only have about $300 to spend. Any suggestions?

Re: Recommended beginner irons in $300 range eBay. No? Head to www.myclubmaker.com. Call the number, ask for Bryant, tell him your situation and tell him Ben from Canada sent you.

Re: Recommended beginner irons in $300 range look on ebay lots of good deals and good clubs, i have a set of nike pro combo knock offs that i would sell cheap, i like the feel of my dunlop no problems better thats the only reason i would get rid of them

Re: Recommended beginner irons in $300 range personally i would recommend any mizuno irons. they make the best irons. mx 17's i bought as my second set of clubs and they are very forgiving. also the nike NDS were nice aswell. shop around go to your local pro shop and ask to test some clubs down the range until you find the ones that best fit you

I got my Talor Made RAC HTs for just about $375. If you check with local sports stors (liks Dick's) and the like, you will often find "last years" models for a great price...these things were over $600 when they came out, but I got them a year later. Other best option is definitly ebay...no better place when you know exactly what you want, but watch out for the "cheep" custom builders on e-bay. There are a few that are actually good, but most aren't. TEE it up!!

Re: Recommended beginner irons in $300 range I forgot about this thread! Well, I'm back. Last week I picked up a set of Tommy Armour 845cs irons. I took them out today, and like them a lot! Nice high, straight ball flights. And I think I did okay at $159.
