Golf shoes - what do you wear? What do you wear for golf shoes? I'm curious as of the brand and make/model. How are they? How have they performed? Has anything ever gone wrong with them? How do you like them? etc... I was out trying on some golf shoes tonight, and found that I can't stand the traditional saddle/dress type of golf shoe. Even the expensive ones felt stiff, and seemed to dig and cut into my foot and ankle. I've always been more of an athletic shoe type of guy though, (I only wear dress shoes when I absolutely have to), and to no surprise I found that I liked the golf shoes that were padded like athletic shoes much better. (I like a very soft, flexible shoe, and only the athletic golf shoes seemed to feel that way. I don't want to have to "break in" a traditional golf shoe so that it becomes soft and flexible.) I've been thinking of the Nike SP-5 shoes, but haven't made my mind up yet...

Re: Golf shoes - what do you wear? I've been wearing Footjoy (contour series). A great shoe that is comfortable, waterproof and not at all stiff so don't need 'breaking in'. In fact the first time I wore them I played 36 holes without any problems. Highly recommended.

Re: Golf shoes - what do you wear? Always had footjoys, never being 100% happy so I am interested to see what others think because I think there is a change due, they just don't do what is says on the box. Ian. Not sure about the Irish bog trotters..........................Irish decent......parents still bog (peat)trotters

Re: Golf shoes - what do you wear? Just bought a pair of Hi Tec Power CDT and I love them after trying other shoes and loosing some skin off my heals these are a joy to wear. But i guess its horses for courses regards Ant [If it was that easy then we would all probably take up something else]

Re: Golf shoes - what do you wear? I have a pair of white Ecco shoes. They are the lower end Ecco, which are still expensive and nice. I had some Saddle Footjoys before and the soles came apart on them. I could use for these shoes to fit a little snugger, but overall I'm happy with them.

Re: Golf shoes - what do you wear? I started with a pair of nike but they rubbed blisters on my feet even after a couple of times wearing them. Then I bought a pair of footjoys very comfortable and never rubbed a blister.

Re: Golf shoes - what do you wear? I wear the Adidas AD75 which is a great shoe very comfy feels like your wearing slippers, so no faults whatso ever, well there is one fault the bloody fast twist soft spikes. Fast twist my A&$E you need to have a metal vice, huge pair of pliers and be built like the incrediable hulk to change them. Cheers Mark
