irons

I just switched from my beginner set of irons to some used Taylor-Made Bruner Mid-size irons from a friend. I'm still looking to get some new ones. Has anybody used these irons. Feedback would be nice. Also, any suggestions on new irons in the $300 price range.

Thanks

Re: irons

i havnt tried those irons but for $300 i would definatly recommend the Mizuno MX17. they are so forgiving and are great for mid to high handicapers

Re: irons

Any other suggestions on 300$ range irons. Should I by cheaper and get custom fitted or should i go more expensive without custom fitting?

Re: irons

Always get custom fitted irons if you are buying brand new. Don't let the pro shop fob you off by letting them charge you to be fitted, AFAIK NO golf shops in the UK will charge for a fitting if you are buying a set of clubs...

For the top end of your budget, take a look at the Mizuno MX-17s, or for slightly more the Cobra 3400. The other irons comparable to these, but cheaper would be the Wilson Staff Di6 (http://www.wilson.com/wilson/staff/p...bmLocale=en_GB) or Srixons new I-403 Irons (http://www.srixon.com/club_iron_403.asp)

It all depends which one you like Hope this helps...

I have always said that if you have fitted clubs , you have no excuse for a bad swing apart from yourself. Wielding my Cobra 3400s makes me feel very confident in them because they're MY clubs... uniquely

Re: irons

there is nothing like a custom set of clubs. i would get cheaper ones fitted for myself however you have to remember that you will probably not be able to sell them
