Hybrid? Hi all, Currrently do not have a hybrid club, but I believe it may be the club I am missing. I currently carry Titliest 975 D driver, titliest 975 f 3 wood, Ping i3's 4 iron through to PW. Not sure what I should go with, hybrid (what loft) or 5 wood. Any help appreciated. Glen

| Re: Hybrid? My personal few is it may depend upon the distance you are looking to work into you set and your expectations at those distances. I.E I think most 5 woods play very similar to a 2 iron distance (at least that is my take on them) they are easy to get the ball airborne. The Hybrids to me at least are better at replacing 3 and 4 Irons and are a little more accurate then the 5 wood. Though some are designed to replace the 2 iron 5 woods are easier to hit with more loft. So if you went with a 3 iron Hybrid instead of a 5 wood you would give up a few yards of distance but probably gain in accuracy and ability to handle more types of lies. The typical golf trade off. | Re: Hybrid? Thanks Bob, I am hitting my 4 iron well and i generally get a lot of height on my shots. My clubs are 1/2+. I really am looking for a wood I can use from the fairway on those par 5's or on the long par 3's. Hitting my 4 iron app. 200 yards. |

Re: Hybrid? I prefer the Innovex Hybrid (www.innovexgolf.com).

Re: Hybrid? Friendliest folk in Canada, they say. ![]() I've played the Nike CPR, the Innovex hybrid, the Ashton XBrid, the SMT Avocet and the PureFit VooDie. I like the Innovex the best. It just sets up so compact, you just feel like you have no choice but to crush every shot dead straight. I'm going to try the Wishon 785 next (I'm currently playing the Xbrids). They say the Nickent hybrid is pretty good too... but I've soon gotta get something in my bag that'll play.

Re: Hybrid? I'm with Bob, I've been carrying a 5 wood since Adam was a boy. I've recently taken possession of my 19 degree TM Dual Hybrid. It has replaced my 3 iron. Both these two clubs have their purpose in my bag. I'm stoked with how well I hit both. The hybrid is a lot more versatile, ie, bare lies, trouble shots from under trees and around the greens. Glen I recommend getting both. Nicole
