Need new irons

Looking for some ideas. Currently play with an old set of titleist dci's and i think my game has out grown the equipment. I've hit the Mizuno MP-32's and actually discovered "feel"! Are there any other irons I should try. Also looking for a good set of wedges.

Re: Need new irons

Before you decide try a set of Snake Eyes 600XC or if you have a more consistant swing try the 600C.

They have hi Workability and they are so easy to hit well. They wont cost you as much as TM or Callaway etc but in my opinion they are as good in every way.

Re: Need new irons

I have the MP 32s and love them. I have not hit the MP 60s but have to believe they would offer a little more forgiveness. The MP 32s are the most forgiving blades I have ever hit and feedback is very good.

I shot 4 over for 9 holes last night after not toughing a club for 9 weeks and that included the most horrid putting I can ever remember (22 putts for 9 holes). That said, if I could have putted respectably, I would have been 2 or 3 under and that has a lot to do with the irons!

Go with the Mizunos!

Re: Need new irons

I'd try one of these:

Mizuno MP32's
Mizuno MP60's
One of the new Titlesit range
Ben Hogan FTX

all are blade-ish with great feel and performance.

Re: Need new irons

Have you considered custom made KZG's ? I recently purchased a set of TaylorMade Rac OS , took them to a local builder to have them re-gripped and lie adjustment. He 'sold' me on a custom built set of KZG forged irons that I didn't buy. He will build them to fit me for shaft type(my ideal kick-point, flex & weight) length , lie , loft , grip size & swing weight as well as frequency matching & truing the shafts . All for about the cost of an off-the-shelf brand. I told Rick I would be back for a set next year.
The 'feel' of those forged Evolution irons was amazing as well as the ZO zero offset irons.
Click on the link and you will find a place to type in your telephone area code to find a local fitter/builder.
