Cleveland TA7 Irons

Ive just purchased some new irons, Cleveland TA7 Irons!

What do you think to these?

I like them, but they are half an inch longer than normal..
Does this normally make a difference because im not playing as good with them. Some balls go to the right or get topped etc.

The club face doesnt fit on the floor propely but its not that bad!

I am a 20 handycap

Cool

Well, I would say it's time to see the expert. Take your clubs to a golf repair shop. Tell him you want to have the lie checked. The repair man will have you hit on a lie board. It is a colored board that will leave a mark on the bottom of the club. He will be able to tell if the club is toe up, heel up or centered. He can also measure you and see if the clubs need to be cut or extended. Proper fitting equipment will reduce the need for compensation in your swing.

The only problem with getting clubs that fit properly is you can't blame the clubs for a bad swing after that.

Keep it in the short grass,

GolfBald

The reason the ball is going to the right is because the lie angle is too flat, you need to get these adjusted , when you get them checked for the lie angle make sure the mark that is being made is in the center of the sole of the club, if it is toward the tow which it most likely will be with your clubs this indicates the lie angle is too flat which is influencing the ball to the right, experiment with a standard lie angle. Most likely you will need to go to a 1 degree upright

If your height is 5'10" which is the standard height that they fit golf clubs too then you should play with a standard lie angle this not a concrete statement you have to fit the clubs to the swing (as long as it does not have any uncantural compensatory moves)

I.E. If you have a slice and when you get your clubs fitted so that you will not slice the ball this is what you should not do, because when you straighten your ball flight out and your lie angle is 3 degrees upright you will start to hook the ball

So get them fitted to you not your swing
