hippo v progen
i have a mate who's starting out in golf
he has the choice between a starter set from hippo or a set of progen fullbore 2.2 irons a graphite driver a rescue and a 2 ball style putter.
the starter set is new and the progen gear has only been used twice
they both feel good to him, at £150 which one represents value for money?

I dont know anything about progen but I do know to stay away from Hippo gear, especially the cheap stuff.

Progen have quite a good reputation [design followers perhaps rather than clones] so IF he can use the driver I'd go for them; its a good price if genuinely that nearly new.
