Has anyone experienced Q-link

Hi, I am just waiting on a delivery of a q-link pendant, has anybody got one and if so what are your views on them, I know they are are well reccommended but do they really work?

youll have a good looking pendant and thats about it, did you really think it was going to help your golf game, oh and its not that good looking either

Its obviously not a cure for a slice or over the top action but it is intended to calm you down and feel less stressed over a shot, well thats what Ive read. I will soon find out because it arrived today. Will let you know the results.

I've worn it on occasion and not noticed any difference. I think that the science behind it is bunkum (a few more months and I'll have my PhD so I feel I have a bit of an understanding) but it all boils down to how you feel about it. If you believe it works, then it will work for you.

Apparently you shouldnt share it because it tunes itself to your Biofield, it can take up to 30 days before you feel any difference. I am also a bit sceptical but when you read all the positive reports its hard to believe they are all telling a fib. Only time will tell.

I have trouble with all the pseudoscience on the site.

There is no such proven entity as a "Biofield". The only time you will see this mentioned is in journals such as "Journal of alternative and complementary medicine", hardly Nature or Science. It's a made up entity to justify how some medical practices (Reiki, SRT, Crystal healing) may work as current theories show them not to.

"Sympathetic Resonance Technology" has no link that I can see to quantum physics bar spouting the buzzwords such as "Zero point energy" and "Scalar waves". All the explanations are splattered in "wallpaper" words (ones that cover the cracks) sich as "thought to", "believed to", "may work" as opposed to phrases that show how it does work.

None of the "scientific" papers are published in any journals. I can only imagine that it is because they lack scientific rigour. If they could show scientifically that these changes did occur, then journal would be falling over themselves to publish the findings and major awards would be in the post. Anecdotal evidence (reports from individuals) proves nothing. Only scientifically rigourous double-blind placebo controlled studies by experts in their fields really counts.

Sorry if I get on my high horse on this, but science often gets taken for a ride when money is involved (130 bucks for 75 ft of copper wire anyone).

If you feel better wearing it then that's great, keep wearing it, but don't pretend that it's because of a scientific theory that those stuffy-shirted conventional scientists are trying to supress just coz it's so gosh darn effective.

I wont pretend I know what you just said but it sounded very impressive. I suppose deep down I was just clutching at straws at ways of reducing stress etc and saw this as a possible answer. I guess it will work for somepeople and not others, as you said it is probably all in the mind but hey I will suck it and see, i will try anything that gives me an outside chance of improving. I'd hate to think that I would write something that deliberately used obscure terms in an attempt to seem more intelligent. That would make me as bad as those that I despise.

P.S. How are those MP-32 irons working for you? I currently play the MX-23's and I may upgrade in the near future, either to the same as you or to the Titleist 695 MB.

Thats ok no problem, everyone is entitled to his/her opinion, the world world would be a boring place if we all thought the same.

Ive been playing with the MP-32s for just over a year now, its the first set of blades Ive ever had and I absolutely love them. They look great behind the ball (I hate big cavity clubs, they look like a bungalow on a stick), when you catch them just right they feel wonderful, you can lose abit of distance with an iffy hit but these are much more forgiving than normal blades. They tend to have a higher ball flight but still go a long way, very handy with the longer irons when trying to stop them on the green. I tend to hit my 5 iron about 200 yards no problem at all. The best bit is how they look in the bag, I get a great deal of pleasure out of people looking in the bag and seeing a nice shiny set of blades, alot of people get the misconception that blades are very difficult to hit and should only be used by a low handicapper, I only play off 15 and I dont have any trouble with them. I cant see me changing my irons for a very long time, probably till they fall apart. Probably the best £600 Ive ever spent. I dont know what the Titleist ones are like, I must admit Ive never been a big fan of Titleist stuff, they just seem abit old fashioned to me.

A good diet (have a look at the absdiet, not just for bodybuilders) and fish oils (not cod liver oil) are proven to reduce cortisol and stress levels. That may be a better use of your money than the pendant, and will have positive effects on your game in other ways.

I'm not sure about the Q-link. It seems to have a lot of hype built around things that you can get with a good diet and exercise. I use golf and hockey for stress relief. My theory is stay away from McDonalds and play a lot of golf and hockey.

60 yards wide, blimey that is wayward. Ever thought of taking lessons? lol

lol. That's just a joke line. If I really hit it that wayward, I think I'd take up another sport.
