| Yes putter Yes claims that they make the number 1 putter. Are they really that good or not? also considering the price I need to buy a new putter, so I'm looking forward to your oppinions are there also general "rules" on buying a new putter? My golf experience is minor: I started playing last december, but I'm doing rather good. My putting is not bad. |

| Re: Yes putter Get a second-hand putter that looks good to your eye...this will be used 36 or more times a round. The Driver 14. The Pw/Sw 20 times. So if you like what you see down there, you will have something you want to pull out. Spending a lot on something that does not look good only makes it worse. You dare not take it out of the bag, and your play will suffer because of it. Spend the minimum you can, and you will be happy on 2 fronts. "Look at the great deal I got on this!" and "I can make everything with it. I love this thing!"

| Re: Yes putter Get it fitted. Here's how clubs work: Either you adjust the club to your swing, or you adjust your swing to the club. It's that simple. That said, a lot of guys on Tour use Yes! putters, and aren't paid to do so. I was considering a Yes! Tracy 2, but ended up with my MentorSports Triad 2 instead (and love it. It took all comers for the bag this year). My regular playing partner has a Tracy 2, and it makes a weird sound (to me, like a 'corking') when he hits it on center. Mishits are muted. But Greg makes a great point - it's gotta fit your eye. A lot of people hate the size of my big blue monster... but you can't complain when I'm tapping in for 2 putts, early and often.
