Callaway X-20 Tour vs Nike CCI cast

Hello Golfers!! I have narrowed my club search down to the Callaway X-20 Tours and the Nike CCI cast irons! Does anyone out there have any opionions on the clubs in terms of forgiveness, workability, or performance!! I would love to hear your thoughts!!!

save yourself some cash, droopy and get a second hand set of 2004 series big berthas or x-18's, callaways dont change much set to set.

stay away from nike...not good

Re: Callaway X-20 Tour vs Nike CCI cast

I tried out the X-20's while visiting Edwin Watts golf stores in Florida a few weeks back. Heck of an easy club to hit. I think the Uniflex shafts are awesome. Didn't try the Tour version though, so I can't speak about those.

The X-20 DO seem a lot like the latest couple of years' versions of Big Bertha or X-18 clubs, and Mizunoman might have a point. There could be money to save by grabbing a low-mileage second hand set.

Mizunoman, why should we stay away from Nike. I have heard that Nike irons aren't worth the money but why is this?

Droopyd75: I demo'd today the Nike CCI Forged and the Callaway X-forged (as well as some others) and I felt that the Callaways felt nicer to hit! The performance from both was very similar however, you can't change how it feels to hit. What level is your golfing ability and what are you looking for in terms of workability, forgiveness and ball flight? The callaways are all fitted with Project X rifle shafts as standard and give a lower ball flight which will suit better players with faster swing speeds

My advice is to demo both and choose which one feels the nicest to hit. most important is that whatever you choose you get custom fitted for and this will greatly improve your golf.

If I had to make my choice for you right now, I would choose the Callaway X-20 tours!
