If the annealing (hardening) process is weak (which it shouldn't be at Callaway), then I'd agree. I've seen it in cheap department store sets. It may be time to buy an example iron and bend it!

I know for a fact that Pings are quite malleable - I'd assume the Callaways are, too.

Just a little knowledge - forged or cast doesn't make an iron bendable or not - but forged generally tend to lend themselves to a greater degree of bending.

I've bent both types, and fairly easily. A good machine and bar make a difference.

Cheers for the Mizzy info!

Mark, Mark, Mark, you suposed to say that if you don't have these clubs, then you game will be poor and she will take the brunt of you bad temper leading to poor weekends for her, yet if you had these quality clubs then you will be eternally happy (until newer model arrives) and may even be in the mood to take her the local pub for tea after your round.

Come on shape up abit.

I would report him to eBay, and report the listing to Mizuno.

Got to agree with LP here.

If you check the listing now they have a "Buy Now" price of £375 and a reserve higher than you paid.

Interesting eh.

Hi Slates mate,

I would report him to e bay saying that you won this item but the has not contacted you with payment terms and after 4 e mails with no response on your behalf, and you have seen he has now relisted. So as stated the final bid is a contract for sale between the seller and buyer. See where that get you on the goods as this will be a complaint to ebay. I do know from experiance that you might get the goods if not ebay might suspend the guy for not conforming to their terms of sale. Try it out.

Also mate hate to tell you this now as I have just read my emails, so you probably will kick yourself. You could of paid with pay pal in which you are covered upto £500 for dodgey stuff. Then once you got the goods checked them out with mizuno and its win win win ie
1)Minzuno confirm their genuine = win
2)They are fakes, so you put a claim in with pay pal stating they where not the goods on offer. Result you will get your money back = win

Let us know haow it goes.
Cheers
Mark

Hey there Slats,

If you are happy with the irons you have, may I suggest spending good money on a putter and wedges?

Good for you - damn - I didn't know clubs have serial numbers.... I wonder if they have knock-off clubs with recycled serial numbers.....

If the clubs were the real deal - you would of had the serial numbers right off the batt!

Re: new irons. what to buy

What about Nike irons?

I have heard some negative things about Nike irons, i.e they are not worth the money as your really paying for Tiger et al's sponsership fees! Any thoughts?
