If theres any small dents on the face or sole you could use emery paper to smooth it down but be very careful not to do it too much or you'll seriously affect the club face performance. Another thing you can do urself is get a regrooving tool and get your grooves as good as new! Make sure its a V or U groove you cut though cos square grooves are illegal I think. To my knowledge these are both really easy to do urself and Im looking at getting a regrooving tool myself.
Does anyone know of any negatives of doing the grooves yourself? such as cutting too deep a groove or too wide a groove or does the tool control this for u?
