| Out of warranty repair on Sky Caddie I've been really happy with my SG2. Had it since 02-06 and it has worked flawlessly. However, I turned it on Saturday for a round and could not get it to show any yardages. It seems it is not taking the Satellite info and making it's calculations. I've heard of out of warranty costs as high as 300.00. Anyone have any experiences to share here? It seems these units are prone to this kind of failure quite often and mostly out of warranty. |

| Re: Out of warranty repair on Sky Caddie I would try to reset it. Take the batteries out and put them back in again. You may have to reload the firmware. You might be able to download it off of their website. I have a Garmin. I can do everything with it that the skycaddie does and you can use it for driving if you get the maps. I had a very similar situation with mine (Garmin). I called them and EVEN THOUGHT it was OUT OF WARRANTY, they fixed it for me free. I was so pleased with them I bought some of their stock and made $$$ on it. THey are a great company NASDAQ, GRMN Chessbum... |

If they won't fix it and want you to replace it, just buy a Garmin. They are cheaper and more useful Chessbum... |
