Fitting Clubs

I have just joined the site and I am happy that I found it.

I want to take up the sport but I am finding it difficult to get information for a total beginner. Everything seems to be geared to people who already golf.

My main concern now is clubs. I am 6'-5", will a set of men's clubs off the rack fit me or is there a way to tell if the clubs are long enough.

I am not at the point where custom clubs are an option so I hope I can get started with a stock set without messing up my swing, stance etc. because they are too short.
