| mindfullness and learning golf I had a nice "run" on learning a golf swing by blogging about it (Blog in English and a blog in Finnish ) I think that the next step is to learn about mental side of golf. I am thinking of blogging about it at Mindfullness and learning golf. Do not expect a lot of comments. Best place to discuss about different issues is a good forum like this. |

| Re: mindfullness and learning golf I understand mindfulness as just being aware of your thoughts. Not to try to concentrate or shut away anything that comes to your mind but listen to your thoughts and let them go away. It's like hiding and seek - when you "see" your fears or thoughts, they loose their power to direct your performance. Often I get carried away - and do not know what I am thinking - I work unconsciously - and unconscious thoughts affect my doing - like playing golf. I'd like to be aware of my thinking - it just might help me to understand my game. |
