Hi nkranga,

http://www.golf-tuition-online.com/v...ead.php?t=2431 (Golf Psychology Introduction)

This is my introduction to golf Psychology based on this book and Tim Gallwey's book 'The inner game of golf', in my own experiance these books have helped my game and my thoughts on the golf course more than any other.

Good luck in your game.

Ian.

Great article Ian. Yesterday I applied the simple logic mentioned in Rotella's book and short by best round ever - 78 - in a county tournament....I believe equal merit must be given to the mental aspect of the game if not more at any level of the game - new bee or scratch.

Re: Golf is not a Game of Perfect

I am waiting for Tim Gallway's book to arrive. Ordered it two days ago. I wrote something about golf to my blog http://xo4us.blogspot.com/ . Blog is about my goal to learn to play. I realized that "Merlin Method" is very useful in golf. Merlin Method is living your life from the end to beginning. In practical sense it would mean to visualize the end goal and then the steps from your dream back to the reality. (We often start from current situation and build our steps from there - this is the other way around.)

Like playing a hole, first think from where you want to put and then how do you get your ball there. Play the hole backwards in your mind - and often after the first shot, I need to replay it:-)

Re: Golf is not a Game of Perfect

Hi Guys,

Just a simple thought about that artical......................the next time you finish a hole stand behind the green and look back to the tee...................you may find a boring hole without any bunkers, it only the view from the front what scares you.

Food for thought............

Ian.
