| Pain in the arm Hello to all and thank you for this fourm. I recently returned to golf after a 20 year break, this is my second season and I am playing alot. 30 rounds since March 27th. Here is my issue, I have a tinging pain in my right fore arm (I am right handed) half way between the wrist and elbow. The pain is not noticable on drives and irons with full swing, but on chips and mostly half swings or punches (they're the worst). I have tried streching the arm by bending the wrist backwards but the ting is still there. Any suggestions? Is it just over use and should I lay back a few days. Jerry |

| Re: Pain in the arm If you bend at the elbow and rotate your wrist / forearm so that your palm is facing up, where does it hurt then? Since it only hurts in certain situations, I'm guessing you sprained (overused) a ligament in the forearm. Specifically one that holds the two bones together. I'm guessing ligament because the stretching isn't helping. You probably don't feel it on the long irons and drives because you are at full extension, compared to punch or chip shots. My advice, don't play so much golf. If that doesn't ease the pain, get one of those elbow straps - the ones for tennis elbow. That should help. Brian |
