Vijay's workout

Maye you could incorporate some of these exercises.

Notice also that Vijay uses left side dominated exercises, so he is not only training one side of his body. See my other post "Contras" for more.

Just need a beach now

Re: Vijay's workout

Its nice to see something not considered "mainstream" being accepted. I've been a major supporter of medicine balls, bands, and agility training for years. Vijay's trainer uses exercises developed by Juan Carlos Santana, Vern Gambetta, Paul Chek and others quite sucessfully. There are other trainers who argue that simple exercises (bench press, squat, push-ups...) are just as effective. These exercises are fun, effective and can be done with minimal equipment or space. My only arguement is to establish a base first. Do the simple exercises, gain strength and range of motion. I also think that developing muscular balance is important. But golf is a lopsided game and one side needs to be dominant. If you ever get a chance to see a professional tennis player up close you will see what I mean. Very strong, very agile but one side is always somewhat bigger, more coordinated and faster than the other.

If anyone has any questions about fitness please feel free to ask.
