| Re: Blow Out Holes...... hi scragger i use to have one hole at my course i would keep getting 6s and 7s at and this old guy i was playing with one day said to play it backwords, what club would i like to play into the green most, then what clubs would i have to hit to get to that point, when i thought about it i was playing it as a par 4 but i had a shot on that hole and i could play 3 to get to the green, after that i found it was easy to play it as a par 5, i use 5 iron then a 6 iron then a 9 iron, before it was a driver and i would always end up in the deep rough. use the handicap shots on the hard holes and try and play the hole backwords. hope this may help you as it did help me. bill |

| Re: Blow Out Holes...... Thanks for the positive feed back Bill... Yes, i know you are right and I have taken the play backwards thoughts with me to the course more than once, only to leave them in the proshop each time... This week I plan on leaving the woods at home and going with nothing more than 3 iron all day. I hit my irons consistently well enough. I just have to find it within myself to stay on top of whatever negative influences come into my mind during my round. Watch this space.... Cheers ![]() |
