Question overswing practice drills ?

i got down to 10.2 but then started to overswing and now up to 13.7 , on the video back swing is perfectly on plane etc until horizontal then the right elbow flies out and up , result is every concievable shot.
have tried numerous thoughts / aids , head cover under right armpit / figure of eight band on upper arms.
anyone know of any good drills / swing thoughts / practice aids ?

Re: overswing practice drills ?

The flying right elbow is normally caused by a fault in the takeaway. The left shoulder rotates downwards, this pushes the head and torso to the left and causes the right arm and elbow to lift up. Work on your shoulders turning more level so that you stay centered and stacked in the backswing, your right elbow should then point down to the ground.
