Power Swing Fan Has anyone used this. http://www.todaysgolfer.co.uk/Golf/Ne...mp;R=EPI-23183 I like the look of it but its a bit expensive. Or can anyone recommend a way to get a bit more power through the downswing. Cheers.

Re: Power Swing Fan What is the cost? Over the years, I've seen pros using this device as part of their training, and not for promotional considerations, only because it supposedly helped them. I think you can get a similar benefit using a simple stretch band hooked to the wall or door. I saw a clip recently on the Golf Channel "The Turn" of Annika using the gym device with weights and pulleys to emulate the golf moves and strengthen her core. If you have access to a gym, you could do this exercise and more. I belonged to a city sponsered gym with pool for a while at a fee of $150 per year, and it was well worth it.

this does look like good idea, but to save you £50 i would suggest that you take a simple dumbell, but only put weight on one end i would suggest about 3-5Kg then simply take your grip round the end with no weight and take your stance and make good slow swings. i like this because one it can really ingrave a good solid swing. two it really bolsters your core muscles and and generally builds all of the muscles of the golf swing. and lastly if you practice with a mirror behind you as if it was facing down the line and slowly go through your swing this really helps me as can really see and focus on the little parts of the swing that can get lost in peoples longing for more power. hope it helps.

Re: Power Swing Fan Hey Neil, I have since found this product, shame you did not patent your idea above: http://www.intheholegolf.com/store/pbst.html This seems an even better idea, the longer the club you use the more resistance you get. I have ordered it so will post how I get on with it. Unfortunately I will have to pay £20 postage from US as they are the only supplier I could find.

Re: Power Swing Fan I just swing a fan-style leaf rake. For a heavy club, I use a shovel.

Re: Power Swing Fan I own a Power Swing Fan, it is unequivocally, the absolute best, bar none, swing training aid you can use. EVERYONE who tries it(and I let everyone who asks me about it when I'm using it try it...) is amazed at how it forces you to accelerate THROUGH impact. It is the ideal, and I really mean IDEAL training aid to get you familiar with the pro concept of accelerating ONLY at impact. You can't start the swing too fast with it, you MUST make a nice, deliberate transition, but through impact, because of the building resistance, it really makes you put the power down when its MOST needed. A regular club feels like a twig afterward. It is 300x better than a weighted club. A weighted club PULLS you through impact so you actually do the OPPOSITE of what makes for a powerful swing, this training aid, on the other hand, forces YOU to power the club through impact. Its well worth the cost, the absolute best training aid ever.
