Guys, if you have golf cabin fever get one of these

babies. I mounted one of these on a piece of plywood and I come home late from work and hit for hours and it has really helped my game.

They also have one already mounted on wood.

Dnamixup, I use mine indoors all the time with a 9i or 8i and it helps me with my tempo and contact; I can make a full swing with a 9i or 8i without hitting the ceiling (my girl didn't like it too much when I hit the ceiling the first time with a 5i).

It feels like I'm hitting a real golf ball, and it tells me if I hit it square because the ball spins straight when I do. And yes, you can stick it in the ground in your yard or in the park.

I've been working on getting my upper and lower in sync with it and it has helped. Only bad part is my girlfriend hates it and my dog runs from the room when I'm hitting it.

Re: Guys, if you have golf cabin fever get one of these

I spent $230 USD, and bought one similar to that... except it came with Tiger Woods 2004 for the PC, and connects via USB. Why, just the other day I was playing Pebble Beach.

It's not perfect, but it's pretty good. It does the same thing as the one above... the site is www.qmotions.com.

It's a ton of fun, really... and the best part is the putting, IMO. I could putt all day with this thing.

Re: Guys, if you have golf cabin fever get one of these

I managed to pick up a qmotions set cheap. For me as a beginner it has improved my game more that then lessons i've previously had.

Spend an hour every night hitting and get instant feedback as to direction and swing speed. Along with a trial of swingmedic software i've eliminated the slice that has been a constant problem of mine.

Have had problems running the Tiger Woods software but the Qmotions support were excellent at providing solutions.

If you are in the UK, get down to TKMaxx and see if they have any in stock. Mine cost £50 from there, was originally £180.

Re: Guys, if you have golf cabin fever get one of these

I've got the qmotions set up in my garage, once the cars out theres plenty of room. When playing Tiger Woods you can use any club as the software controls the distance from the swing speed.

I've got it set up on a slow PC so have problems with the Tiger Woods software (the PC only just exceeds the min spec so runs very slow on the software, a decent PC should run fine). Have some components on order to update the PC so will let you know how it goes with a decent spec PC.

For me at the moment I use the statistics that the Qmotions software to eliminate errors.

Re: Guys, if you have golf cabin fever get one of these

DNA, you can use any club you like to play Tiger Woods. I play with my Gap Wedge (as I've got short ceilings).

It's a pretty good system - the accuracy is pretty good, and with the upgraded software you can actually adjust the sensitivity of the reads for the 3 shot types (full, pitch/chip, and putt).

The hardest thing I find is that you have to manually aim your character before hitting the qmotions ball, and you can't really draw or fade your shot.

But it's still way better than sitting still!

My only complaint was that the USB cord seemed really short - so I made a Cat5 extension.

Mr. Change, when you hit it square it revolves around in an even pattern, if you don't hit it square (outside in and inside out path) the ball will revolve around the stem in a side-to-side crazy kinda’ pattern. It looks really crazy when you don't hit it square. You’ll know immediately if you don’t square the club face.

Re: Guys, if you have golf cabin fever get one of these

The qmotions software has a statistics section where it will record the speed and direction for each swing, so you can get feedback for each club you use.

When playing Tiger Woods the statistics only records whether a full, chip or putt. The software translates the swing speed and plays the shot according to the club selected on the screen, because of this you can select a driver in the software and only hit a wedge.

The device itself plugs into a pc via the USB port, as lowpost mentioned the cord is a bit short but a USB or cat5 extension can be used to position the device where you have space.

the Qmotions website has more details http://www.qmotions.com/

For the QMotions device, you can use all your clubs if you have the room to swing 'em. Otherwise, you use one club, and select which club you'd like to use from the TW bag (ie for drives, pick 1W, and still use a GW to do the swing.)

I don't think Mulligan's device connects to anything but lawn.
