| Flash Cards I met a guy on a driving range while vacationing in Hawaii who was using flash cards to practice with. I thought he was a bit out there with his practice routine until we spoke about what he was doing. The cards were color coded, and after he had warmed up, he would pick a card and hit the shots as the card directed. Each card discribed a series of shots using different clubs. This meant he was not hitting the same club more than once in a row, just as we all do while playing on the course. The next day we played together (he was on vacation also) and he shot a 73, which made me think about his practice routine. When I returned home, I made up my own set, and I have been able to shoot better scores since going to this routine. Makes practice a bit more interesting also. GJS |

| Re: Flash Cards its a real good idea after your warmed up, it will make you concentrate on good ball contact and not just start banging balls around.ive kinda done the same thing at the range,i would hit a drive and depending on results my next shot would be a mid to long iron or a wedge shot that always misses green so i have to chip or flop one. if i miss hitt any one of the shots bad id work on that club for about ten balls then do the whole sequence over. agood practis routine can do nothing but help. |
