Hitting eyes shut I was on the range today and did about 5 practice swings before hitting a ball. After a while I tried to hit the ball with my eyes shut - and it was even better than when I aimed at the ball. While eyes shut I can sense my weight shift very easily, keep balance and sense my movements too. I think it is a nice exercise to do some times. Maybe it would be good to do it after a "perfect" shot. Register the feeling to be repeated next time? br. Hannu, Jyväskylä, Finland

Re: Hitting eyes shut In Tiger's book he suggests putting eye closed to learn to control the lenght of a put. I tried putting eyes closed in my living room. I have suprised that I could put straighter than eyes opened. I think that I will add an eyes closed swing to my preputting routine:-)

Re: Hitting eyes shut i quite often practice full swings with me eyes shut. you need the practice fairway to youself though. a pro once told me "nobody was going to steal the ball while you hitting. takes some getting used to but good for tempo.

Re: Hitting eyes shut I would consider 9 feet (~ 3 meters) or more a long putt.
