| Cross country skiing is ideal for golfers I use skating style in cross country skiing. Today I modified my exercises to suite golf. I skied in intervals. Otherwise slowly, but tried to ski in "jump style" - very fast all the small up hills. In my track the up hills are only 30 seconds long. Jumping the up hills worked my legs and hips very well and the weight shift was similar to a swing - and I had to watch my balance. Also my shoulders and arms got a good workout - similar to a swing, but with out a torso rotation. Skiing also develops your core, if you remember to keep it tight:-) Making a normal skiing to an interval changed it from an aerobic exercises to a strength, anaerobic and also aerobic exercises! Just feel so good after a good workout, that I wanted to share the feeling and the experience. Hannu |
